Under her banner 'Balaji Motion Pictures', Ekta Kapoor has been making varied genres of films, ranging from masala entertainers to sex comedies. And now, she has roped in Anurag Kashyap to direct one of her films.
Considering that Anurag Kashyap and Ekta Kapoor have shared a great rapport, the two decided to collaborate recently for Udta Punjab (produced by Anurag's Phantom Films and Balaji). And now, they have decided to work as director-producer for another film. Not divulging any details on the film in question, Tanveer Bookwala (CEO- Balaji Motion Pictures), stated that they had signed Anurag long back as a director, but still haven't found the right script as yet.
As far as their collaboration Udta Punjab is concerned, the film has already gone on floor in Punjab with Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh playing the lead. The film is a thriller based on the deeply rooted drug mafia in the state and is directed by Abhishek Chaubey.
