Kandahar (2010)

Kandahar is a Malayalam war film directed by Manoj Ravi, starring Mohanlal coupled with Amitabh Bachchan, and Ganesh Ventakraman. The film was released in its dubbed versions in Hindi. The plot of the film is based on the hijacking incident of Indian Airlines Flight 814. The story of the film showcases two parallel tracks; in one an idealistic teacher is supporting his son to become a brave and bold Army commando and in the other a Muslim woman realizes that her only son is getting trained to become a Jihadi.

Gaganam (2011)

Gaganam is an Indian thriller film directed by Radha Mohan. The film was made in Tamil and Telugu languages simultaneously. The film is based on the incident of flight hijacking. The film stars Nagarjuna, Prakash Raj, Poonam Kaur, Sana Khan, Rishi, Iqbal Yaqub, and Brahmanandam. The story of the film features five passengers on a Chennai – Delhi flight. These passengers get back their weapons concealed in the toilet and use them to hijack the plane.

Zameen (2003)

Zameen is a Bollywood action film directed by debutant Rohit Shetty making a noticeable directional debut by putting a tight narrative in the film. The star cast of the film includes Ajay Devgan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Bipasha Basu. The story of the film is based on the terrorists attack on the Indian Parliament building and hijacking a civilian plane to parley a deal with the Indian government to release their leader in lieu of the lives of all passengers. The film is originally based on the December 1999 hijack of the Indian Airlines Airbus to Kandahar and the consequent release of the three militants in trade for the passengers.

Hijack (2008)

Hijack is a Bollywood action film based on terrorism. The film is directed by debutant Kunal Shivdasani, starring Shiney Ahuja and Esha Deol. The story of the film features a plane flying to Delhi which is hijacked by six terrorists. The terrorists asked to let go their accomplice and terrorize to kill the hostages otherwise. The film is based on the real life hijacking of IC 814.

Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa 

is a Bollywood romantic action film directed by Kuku Kohli. The star cast of the film includes Karan Nath and Jividha Sharma. The story of the film moves on two tracks: the one is the romance track in college and the other is the terrorism track. Karan, who is studying in a college, falls in love with Pooja. One day the plane Pooja is travelling on gets hijacked by terrorists who want their commander back.
