Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is not considering Kartik Aaryan for any film at the moment, clarified Prerna Singh, CEO, Bhansali Productions.

It wouldn't be wrong to say that Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has been on a roll. The actor, who kickstarted his acting journey with Pyaar Ka Punchnama and shot to instant fame with his monologue on relationships, went on to star in films like Akaash Vani, Kaanchi: The Unbreakable, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Luka Chuppi among others. Currently, he has plenty of films in his kitty and amidst it all, there were also reports that he has collaborated with film auteur Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a project.
But putting all the rumours to rest, Prerna Singh, CEO, Bhansali Productions, has issued a statement. Clarifying that the reports doing the rounds on the internet are false, Prerna has informed, "This is completely untrue and being spread by irresponsible media reports. Kartik is not being considered for any film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir for any directorial project or otherwise for now."
"But we wish him all the very best for the new release," she added in her official statement.
All this while, it was being rumoured that Kartik was to star in Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt in the lead role. It was then reported that things didn't work out and the actor will now be collaborating with Bhansali in his next. But looks like, Kartik's ardent fans will have to wait a little longer to see the star in a Bhansali magnum opus.
As for Kartik's film lineup, the actor has some of the most interesting films in his kitty. He has recently shot for an Imtiaz Ali film, co-starring Sara Ali Khan. While the title of the film is yet to be announced, the BTS photos have certainly piqued the curiosity. The actor is also a part of Pati Patni Aur Woh alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday. Apart from these two, he will also be seen in Dostana 2 alongside Janhvi Kapoor and newcomer Lakshya and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, co-starring Kartik Aaryan.
