Not a long time, Karan Johar took to Twitter to announce that his banner Dharma Productions will be producing Shakun Batra’s (Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu fame) next, which will be a family drama. “Rarely does a filmmaker write a super script in 2 months….@shakunbatra’s new family film just got greenlit and cast! Details coming up….,” read KJo’s tweet.
So while the peeps at Dharma are keeping the details of this project under the wraps, we can tell you that this film, which is titled Kapoor & Sons will star alleged lovebirds Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt along with Fawad Khan. Well, at least that’s what a FB post from a casting agent suggests.
Although there has been no official confirmation of the same by Karan or Shakun, but there have been a lot of speculations in the recent past about Alia, Sid and Fawad being cast in a Dharma film. Let us also tell you that Arjun Kapoor was initially being considered for the role, which will now be played by the Pakistani actor.
If you will remember, we EXCLUSIVELY told you that the film in question is about two brothers who are part of a dysfunctional family. One of them is gay and the film is a coming-out story. The story apparently takes place over a weekend where the family goes for an outing and during the fun and games, one of the two brothers reveals his sexuality.
