Salman Khan turns down request to promote Jammu and Kashmir tourism

Actor Salman Khan who currently stationed in Pahalgam, Kashmir to shoot for Kabir Khan's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' has reportedly refused to promote Jammu and Kashmir tourism.

According to reports, the actor was approached by a delegation of leaders of the reigning People's Democratic Party (PDP). The leaders met the actor on Thursday with the request to promote tourism of Jammu and Kashmir. However, the actor turned down the approach saying that he won't take any project till his final verdict for hit and run case is out on May 6.

The tourism of the state which looked promising in recent years, had taken a dip following the recent devastating floods. The ruling party felt that if the actor endorsed the tourism of the state, it would help boost tourist footfall.

Salman has apparently decided to think about the offer after the verdict.

Meawhile, the shoot of Bajrangi Bhaijaan as put on hold for a couple of days following Salman's illness. The actor suffered from an ear infection. The shoot has resumed now. Pictures doing the rounds in social media suggest Salman shot at a local market. However the team has resumed the shoot. Salman's co-stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kareena Kapoor Khan will soon join the star in the valley.
