Producer Sajid Nadiadwala's home and office in Mumbai were raided on Tuesday by the Income Tax department. The raids that began in the morning were on till late evening and were expected to go on till Wednesday.
According to reliable sources, cast and crew members close to Sajid's latest film Tamasha are in the IT net. Sources say the Tamasha lead Ranbir Kapoor was also likely to be questioned.
Sajid Nadiadwala's productions have been going through an uninterrupted streak of box office success during the past few years with films like the Salman Khan starrer Kick and Imtiaz Ali's experimental Highway proving huge money earners.
Ironically the IT raid has happened at a time when Nadiadwala's least unsuccessful film Tamasha in recent times, is in the theatres.
