The actor will star opposite Shruti Haasan in the Nishikant Kamat film
John Abraham and Shruti Haasan are all set to dazzle us with Rocky Handsome which is touted to be an action thriller.Directed by Nishikant Kamat, this film is set to capitalise on the Holi weekend. Rocky Handsome will be John and Nishikant’s second collaboration after Force. The actor has really worked hard on the film. In one of his interviews he said that he underwent extensive training for his role. “We went to Bangkok and we trained there for over a month. I trained in different art forms. I trained in Aikido, Hapkido which involve a lot of hand-to-hand combat. I also trained in Krav Maga,” he said.
In the first look, John is seen suited up for his role and is holding a gun aiming at probably one of the drug mafias that he sets on to kill. The story is a loose adaptation of the 2010 Korean film The Man from Nowhere, revolving around a man who sets out to take vengeance against drug mafia after they take away an eight-year-old girl, with whom he shares a special bond.
Shot in Goa, Mumbai and Pune, the film is an adrenaline pumping action thriller embellished with a strong emotional story of the relationship between a father who never had a daughter and a seven year old daughter who never had a father.
