Over the years, Bollywood actor John Abraham has supported various animal welfare programmes. In 2010, he participated in a campaign organised by PETA (People for the Ethical treatment of Animals) to free caged birds. In 2014, he was featured on a calendar by an animal rescue organisation called World For All. Now, the actor has adopted a stray dog.
“He always wanted a pet. But, due to his busy schedule he could not get one. However, last week, he decided to adopt a three-month-old female pup, who was rescued from the streets by an animal adoption agency. He has named her Bailey,” says a source.
The actor is thrilled. “This is his first pet, and he is enjoying this phase. He personally takes care of Bailey, and plays with her whenever he finds the time,” adds the source.
