For the past few days, tabloids have been dominated by the KRK-Shivaay-Ae Dil Hai Mushkil controversy. There’s a new twist to the war between the Diwali releases each day. It all began with Kamaal R Khan’s accusation that Karan Johar paid him Rs 25 lakhs to tweet negatively about Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay. Then an audio clip where KRK was apparently heard confessing that KJo did indeed pay him to badmouth Shivaay went viral.
Ajay Devgn then released a harsh statement condoning such actions and even took to Twitter to share the audio clip. In a latest twist however, KRK alleges that not Karan but Ajay paid him to create negative publicity about ADHM.
Throughout this drama, Karan has been conspicuously quiet. KJo has finally broken his silence though. According to a leading daily, the director had a curt response. He simply said that his self respect, reputation and upbringing don’t allow him to dignify the question with a response.
