Jolly LLB , starring Akshay Kumar, Annu Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Saurabh Shukla, is now only Rs 5 crore short of the Rs 100-crore mark.
Looks like Jolly LLB 2 will make it to the Rs 100-crore mark after all. As of right now, the courtroom-comedy film starring Akshay Kumar is only Rs 5 crore short of the golden mark.
The box-office collection of Jolly LLB 2, which besides Akshay Kumar, also stars Annu Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Saurabh Shukla, slowed down last week after it earned a mammoth Rs 51 crore in the first weekend.
For a while it seemed that Jolly LLB 2 might not make to the Rs 100-crore mark. But thankfully, the second weekend has given Akshay Kumar and co. much respite.

Both the first and the second film have the same structure: A small-time lawyer pitted against a big, corrupt lawyer on a high-profile case. In the first film, the rookie lawyer Jolly was played by Arshad Warsi while the antagonist's role was essayed by Boman Irani.
This time around, the actors have been replaced by Akshay Kumar and Annu Kapoor. Saurabh Shukla reprises his role of Justice Sunderlal Tripathi from the first film.
Today, by the way, is the 60th birthday of Annu Kapoor. The veteran actor completes thirty four years in the film industry today. He made his on-screen debut with the 1983 film Mandi. Happy birthday Annu Kapoor!
