While most of the Bollywood celebs, fans and even film critics have given the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju a positive review, superstar Salman Khan is not willing to see the film, even after Sanjay Dutt has repeatedly requested his close friend (Salman) to watch his biopic
Last weekend, arguably the most-awaited Bollywood film of 2018, the Rajkumar Hirani directed Sanjay Dutt biopic titled Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor, hit theatres and have been loved by one and all. From fans, to critics, to the who’s who of Bollywood, everyone has been raving about the Sanju. The film has already grossed over Rs 167 crore at the box-office within the first five days of its release.
While most of Bollywood is buzzing about the film, Ranbir Kapoor’s performance as Sanjay Dutt, Vicky Kaushal’s performance as in the film, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan seems to not be interested in the film at all. Not only has he not watched the film, but it is hard to say if he will ever watch it.
Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt have been close friends for decades now. The two have often stood by each other in times of crisis and in times of joy. So, when Sanjay Dutt requested Salman to watch his life-story on the big-screen, he hoped that Salman would be ecstatic and excited about watching it.
However, that’s not the case. According to report in Zoom TV, despite repeated requests by Sanjay Dutt asking Salman Khan to watch Sanju but Salman has not as yet. Now granted, Salman is busy with his ongoing Da-bangg Reloaded tour in the US and Canada. But it is not in Salman’s nature turn down requests from close friends, so why in this case?
The most obvious theory is that the actor is way to busy with this Da-bangg Reloaded tour and will watch the film at the earliest opportunity he gets. The other theory is that Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor have not seen eye-to-eye in a long time. It is public knowledge that because of Ranbir Kapoor’s alleged affair with Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif, the Bollywood superstar can’t stand Ranbir
So, it isn’t a far-fetched idea, that Salman Khan may never want to see Sanju because it stars Ranbir Kapoor. Add to that, Ranbir’s film Sanju beat Salman Khan’s Race 3 within 5 days of it’s release. That fact too wouldn’t have made the Dabangg star any happier.
