Sanju box office collection Day 27: Ranbir Kapoor's film inches closer to beat Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai

Sanju box office collection Day 27: Even in the fourth week of the release, Bollywood movie Sanju starring Ranbir Kapoor is giving tough competition to the new movies like Dhadak

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju is not ready to slow down. Even in the fourth week of the release, the Bollywood movie is giving tough competition to the new movies and has rooted itself firmly at the box office. Sanju has already earned Rs 335 crores approx., which is just a few numbers less than Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai’s lifetime collection of Rs 339 crores.

Bollywood film critic and Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to social media and revealed,

It is learned that on 4th Monday after a drop of 20%, Sanju minted the amount of 1.02 crore. With a further decrement, this Bollywood movie bagged 0.95 crore on 4th Tuesday and raised its 26 days total collection to 335.52 crores. Produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox Star Studios, Sanju released last Friday of June on 29th. The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma, Boman Irani, Dia Mirza, Jim Sarbh, Sayaji Shinde and Sonam Kapoor.

According to our critic Shalu Singh, “Sanju doesn't aim to glorify Sanjay Dutt and the makers make this crystal clear in the first scene when Piyush Mishra as a servile biographer is kicked out of the house, making way for the entry of Anushka Sharma, who plays an impartial writer, Vinnie Dias. Sanju is the narrative of two major incidents in Dutt's life. The first half shows how the actor set to make his Bollywood debut, directed by his dad Sunil Dutt becomes a drug addict. Ranbir's naivety and vulnerability as young Sanjay Dutt strike a chord with your heart. In pre-interval, Ranbir is like any one of us- a young boy who is clueless about his career and can make a mess out of his life at any point.

The second half brings into the scene a much-balanced Sanjay Dutt, who is now facing consequences of decisions he made in his younger days. The post-interval of Sanju gives glimpses of Babri Masjid demolition and how the incident triggered riots and Mumbai bomb blasts.”
