Sanju box office collection day 8: Ranbir Kapoor has certainly proved his mettle as an artiste in Sanju, which is a biopic on Sanjay Dutt. The film had the highest opening at the box office collections this year, beating Race 3. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The film has already collected Rs 186.41 crores in 6 days.


Rajkumar Hirani is surely becoming the highlight of the internet ever since his film Sanju was released. The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer has become the highest opener at the box office in 2018 till now. The film beat Salman Khan’s Race 3, Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 and Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat. Not just Rajkumar Hirani, this film is a highlight in Ranbir Kapoor’s career. The actor hasn’t enjoyed so much success since the last film that crossed the Rs 100 crore club was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Now, Sanju has already earned Rs 186.41 crore at the box office in 6 days and it will be Ranbir’s first Rs 200 crore movie.

Rajkumar Hirani released a video of how Ranbir Kapoor became Sanju. The 6-minute video shows exactly the amount of time and energy it took to Ranbir to go through that transformation.


Now that Sanju has entered Rs 200 crore club, it is rubbing shoulders with films like Baahubali 2, Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan and Dangal. Currently, Baahubali 2 is still the highest at Rs 247 crores in 7 days.

The box office collection is out as Sanju crosses the Rs 200 crore-mark. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Sanju has crossed the lifetime collection of 3 Idiots in one week. On Thursday the film earned Rs 16.10 crores with a total of Rs 202.51 crores.

Sanju has been applauded for its portray for the performances of Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Rajkumar Hirani has certainly proved that no one can ace the game like him. Sanju became the highest opener of 2018 but was also the highest earning film for a single day beating Baahubali 2. The film earned Rs 46.71 crores on Sunday.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Sanju is unstoppable being the first film to earn the highest collection in a single day beating Baahubali 2. The film is still becoming a weekday trend and it looks like Sanju is going to go strong at the box office.
