It has been years since Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan buried the hatchet and became best friends again but internet can’t stop losing it collectively every time they come together. And this time, as Salman and Shah Rukh reunited on Dus Ka Dum stage, they have given their fans another reason to hyperventilate. For this time, the duo recreated their iconic Karan Arjun scene but with some caveats.

Both SRK and Salman were supposed to mouth their dialogues as the Karan Arjun scene played on the screen. However, they decided to take it a step forward by instead saying dialogues from their other superhits, with some changes. Rani Mukerji, who worked with both the actors, was their director.

As Rani appeared confused whether it was take one or take two, Shah Rukh quipped that they should leave direction to Aditya Chopra, Rani’s husband. As the scene where Karan Arjun realize they are born again to avenge their mother, Salman said, “Ek baar maine commitment kardi to main dobara janam nahi leta.”

Shah Rukh came back with his dialogue from Devdas, “Humein koi shauk nahi hai dobara janam lene ka, humne to iss liye janam liya hai taki tumhe dekh sake.” He then realized he had said the dialogue wrong and said he wants to say it again. Salman Khan came back with Daisy Shah’s (in)famous race 3 dialogue, “Your punarjanam is your punarjanam, none of our punarjanam.” SRK, much like the Race 3 audience, gave up after that.

SRK made his entry on the Karan Arjun title track with Salman pushing the cart on which he was lying. The shoot took place on Thursday and also had Sunil Grover making an appearance as Rinku Bhabhi and Amitabh Bachchan. The team also had birthday celebrations for Sunil who turned 41 on Thursday.

Salman and Shah Rukh were involved in a long-running feud for several years, until they patched things up with a hug sometime around 2015. The fight reportedly started at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party in 2008.

Shah Rukh spoke about their differences to the press around that time. “Just recently, while Salman and I were shooting for Tubelight, we were feeling ashamed of whatever was published about us over the years. When not-so-good things happen with us stars, it is blown out of proportion,” he said.

Salman will now repay the favour and will be seen in a cameo in Shah Rukh’s upcoming film, Zero, which also stars Katrina. The film is slated for a November release.
