According to reports, Vishwaroopam 2 has earned about Rs 20 crore in its first weekend. The film raked in Rs 6.8 crore on its first day, and despite getting mixed reviews, the box office collection remained steady and did not take a hit. On Day 3, it earned around Rs 7 crore in Tamil Nadu, and is quickly turning out to be a hit.
Kamal's latest outing is the third highest Tamil opener of 2018, according to trade analysts. While Rajinikanth's Kaala (Rs 21 crore) is at the top, Suriya's Thaanaa Serndha Koottam (Rs 10 crore) is in the second position.
