Yami Gautam and Diljit Dosanjh's film will be directed by filmmaker Aziz Mirza's Haroun
Punjabi singer and actor, Diljit Dosanjh made an impressive Bollywood debut in Udta Punjab for which he also bagged the Filmfare Best Debut award. Post that, he won our hearts by showcasing his acting skills in Phillauri and Soorma. The 35-year old actor has come on board for an untitled venture, which will also feature Yami Gautam, who was also seen in a recent blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike.
The film will be produced by Ramesh Taurani under his banner Tips and will mark the directorial debut of Aziz Mirza's som Haroun. It is written by Vibha Singh and Arshad Sayed and will go on floors in August.
Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh will be next seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Good News. The film also stars Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in key roles. The film is directed by Raj Mehta and is produced under the banner of Dharma Productions. It is scheduled to hit the screens on December 27.
On the other hand, Yami Gautam is currently shooting for Bala along with Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. While Bhumi plays a dusky small town girl, Yami will be seen as a supermodel from Lucknow in the quirky comedy. Bala, which will have actor Ayushmann Khurrana playing the role of a prematurely balding man, was slated to be released on November 22.
