Sona Mohapatra slams Salman Khan for his comment on Priyanka Chopra for choosing Nick Jonas over Bharat

After Salman Khan took a dig at Priyanka Chopra for walking out of Bharat and choosing to get married instead, singer Sona Mahapatra has slammed the Bollywood supertstar for his mean comments.

Salman Khan made headlines recently after he took a dig at Bollywood-turned-Hollywood diva, Priyanka Chopra for walking out of Bharat at the last minute. The Bollywood superstar said that the makers had even offered her to delay the project to adjust with her schedule and yet she quit the film. Salman had gone on to say that most actors would leave their husbands to be a part of a film like this. Clearly, the Bharat star is bitter over Priyanka leaving the project to get married and continues to harbour a grudge.

However, his comments haven’t gone down well with Bollywood playback singer Sona Mohapatra, which took to her Twitter yesterday to slam the Bollywood superstar. “Cus @priyankachopra has better things to do in life, real men to hang out with & more importantly, girls to inspire with her journey,” Sona’s tweet read.

Sona is known for expressing her opinion on her social media accounts and this time too, it was no different.  Whether it is her contemporary in the music business or a Bollywood superstar like Salman Khan, Sona Mohapatra’s courage knows to bounds and Twitterati hailed her for it.

After Priyanka quit Bharat, the role of Kumud was taken up by Katrina Kaif. At the same press event, Salman Khan had even gone on to say that this will be Katrina’s best performance to date and she will certainly win a National Film Award for Bharat. In fact, Salman has repeated the same in several interviews as well that the two have been busy with while promoting their upcoming film.

While Katrina laughed off Salman’s claims of a National Award for her performance, but the actress too claims that playing this character has been the most fulfilling experience that she has had in her acting career. In fact, the actress had earlier revealed that  as soon as she had read the script, she had instantly said yes to the project because she fell in love with the character.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat also stars Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi. The film will hit theatres on June 5.
