Bhumi Pednekar has won over audiences and critics ever since her debut in Dum Lagake Haisha. From her debut till Bala, her choice of film is as unconventional as this beauty herself.
She’s had quite a successful year at the box-office and now she’s prepping up for her next release, Pati Patni Aur Woh. On being quizzed about how she prepares for roles in her movies, she said, “I read, do workshops, watch videos, spend time in that region, talk to locals, read their literature, try learning songs. It’s a lot of homework. But the moment you start thinking like the character, everything falls into place.”
She was also asked about the things she’s learnt as an actor, to which she said, “The first thing you learn is every person on the set contributes to your work. Actors are usually full of themselves and think that they are the fulcrum of the film. That’s not true.” She also learned to be more professional from her time behind the camera when she worked as a casting director, “I absolutely hate being late for work commitments. I’d got up at 2.30 am to get ready for the long makeup schedules for of Saand Ki Aankh and Bala because I didn’t want to be late.”
