Dabangg 3 is one of the most awaited films for Salman Khan fans. The makers released the trailer and the title track of the movie a while ago which broke the internet. In the title track of the film, Hud Hud Dabbang Salman Khan is seen in his Chulbul Pandey avatar seeking blessings from three men disguised as Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh. The song also has godmen dancing with Salman by the bank of the Ganges. This seems to have got the makers into trouble.
The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has asked the Central Board of Film Certification to withhold the certification of the film. In their letter to CBFC the group said, “If the movie happens to be on the lines of what we have seen in the trailer, it is an extremely shocking depiction of Hindu deities and sadhus and also goes at great lengths to humiliate and poke fun at the basic foundations of Sanatana Dharma.”
With the release date nearing, we will have to wait and watch how CBFC reacts to this letter.
