After Dheeraj Dhoopar confirmed him joining Naagin 5, Mohit Malhotra who was last seen in Daayan has now confirmed the same.
Naagin 5 has been in the buzz for some time now. The fourth season is coming to an end now and will pay the way for the next season. TV Czarina, Ekta Kapoor made it public that the current season of the show will come to an end in a couple of weeks and Naagin 5 will take its place. Since then a number of names came up as to who will be the next naagin. As per the latest promo, a glimpse of Hina Khan as the new Naagin but nothing has been confirmed.
Recently, Dheeraj Dhoopar confirmed that he will be a part of the show. And now as per the latest reports, Mohit Malhotra who was last seen in Daayan will be a part of the show. As per a report in IWMBuzz, Mohit will have a cameo in the show. In fact, he will be paired opposite Hina Khan in the show. A source close to the development of the show told the portal, "Like Dheeraj Dhoopar's character, Mohit too will be part of a cameo leading to larger plot revelation."
Mohit confirmed the news with Mumbai Mirror. When asked whether he would be paired opposite Hina, he said, "Yes, that's true. She and I are good friends, so it feels great to get back with Hina." He went on to talk about the genre of the show saying that he has been experimenting with the shows as well. "But Naagin is India’s favourite show and I have always experimented with different genres," he said.
Dheeraj Dhoopar said in a statement, "This is an extremely exciting time for me. To act in a show like Naagin, which enjoys such a rich legacy and is the top show on television, is a dream for any actor. I am a huge fan of the show, and I am thrilled about the part because it is unlike anything I have ever played before. There is always a lot of incredible VFX used in Naagin, and it will be a whole new experience for me because I have never done that kind of a role before. It will be great to work with Ekta Kapoor and be associated with COLORS again."
