Varun Dhawan-Natasha Dalal wedding: Karan Johar on assuming parental role for his Student of the Year: 'My boy is all grown up'

 Varun Dhawan made his debut in the lead role with Karan Johar's Student of the Year. The filmmaker penned a heartfelt note as his boy got married to his sweetheart, Natasha Dalal, last night.



The first Bollywood wedding of the year, that of Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal took place last night at Alibaug's resort. Though the duo and the family members tried to keep it low profile, speculations gave the way. Varun Dhawan, who is a heartthrob since he made his debut in 2012 with Karan Johar's Student of the Year is now a married man. And the mentor who was one of the invited guests, couldn't control his fatherly instincts and penned a heartfelt note for his boy and his lady love, Natasha Dalal. Karan Johar turned nostalgic as he shared his memories of meeting the Main Tera Hero actor for the first time.Karan shared the pictures of Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal from their wedding. He began on an emotional note saying, "I am filled with a multitude of emotions and memories as I write this post! I still remember meeting this kid in goa! Long hair, big dreams in his eyes and a swag that was waiting to explode on celluloid! A few years later he was was my Assistant on MNIK! I silently observed his determined sincerity and also how hilarious he can be ...sometimes even unintentionally!"

Next, Karan Johar recalled the first time, Varun faced the camera for him. The director-producer said, "When he faced the camera for me for the first time I developed an immediately protective feeling of love and care for him..: almost assuming the role of a parent.... that feeling today came alive in abundance as I saw him walk with his loved one around the holy fire of trust and commitment... my boy is all grown up and ready for this beautiful phase in his life... congratulations my darling Natasha and Varun! My blessings and love forever ....love you."
