SALMAN KHAN TO NOT CHARGE A SINGLE PENNY FOR ‘PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO’

Salman Khan has a 500 crore deal with Star India, and they hold the rights to screening all his films exclusively on the channel till 2017 is known to all. According to this deal, the filmmakers who work with Salman, have to agree to screen their film firstly on Star India which should fetch lower price of satellite rights for them. The Dabangg Khan also understands the mater and hence he has decided to make up for it.

If an industry insider is to be believed, Salman Khan has decided to not charge a single penny for Sooraj Barjatya’s “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”. According to the source, he has waived off his entire fee as he wants the film to make some profit at the box-office.

“Anybody working with Salman has to also agree to the deal he has with the channel as they hold the exclusive rights to screen his films until 2017. Sooraj and Salman were reuniting after a 15 year gap so Salman is making sure his deal with the channel does not get in the way of the film. There discussed this and Sooraj has been very accomodating about the same. If Salman didn’t have the deal, the satellite rights of PRDP could have probably fetched the director-producer a higher price and Salman is aware of this. To make up for it, in his own way, he decided to not charge a single penny. He has waived off his entire fee as he wants the film to make some profit at the box-office,” the source revealed.

Well, this is a really good decision by Salman as it will loss the budget of the film and can make good profit at box office in the release time.

PRDP also stars Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Anupam Kher in lead roles. The film of the year is all set to break the box office records this Diwali.
