A legal notice was sent to Salman Khan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan, raising objections on the title of the film and some scenes in it.
Superstar Salman Khan has dismissed a legal notice slapped on him and the makers of his upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, saying that it does not bother him.
"It (legal notice) doesn't bother me. I don't think any religious group could think like this, as one religion teaches people be respectful towards other religions. Every religion respects other person's religion," Salman said at the launch of the new song from Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Aaj Ki Party Meri Taraf Se.
A local from UP had recently sent a legal notice to Salman and director Kabir Khan, raising objections on the title and some scenes in the film stating that Bajrangi stands for a Hindu God and it can't be linked with Bhaijaan, and that it hurts Hindu sentiments.
"I don't think any religious group can protest over the title. Don't malign them. Islam means peace. Tell me one group that is against peace and harmony," Salman said.
Launching an Eid party number Aaj Ki Party Meri Taraf Se for his fans, Salman said that the song would not be a part of the movie, but they would consider adding it later, depending on the response to the film.
"A lot of people have asked me to use this as a promotional song. But I told them that this film doesn't need another song for promotion. When Pritam made me listen to the song, I got a bit greedy and wanted to incorporate this song," Salman said.
"But this song is not there in the film. Both Kabir and my father don't want this song in the film. There are two versions of this song," the 49-year-old actor said.
This song is sung by Mika, composed by Pritam, written by Shabbir Ahmed and choreographed by Remo D'Souza. It was earlier supposed to be attached to the end credits of the movie. Directed by Kabir Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan will hit the screens this Eid.
