So I was just nonchalantly stalking Alia Bhatt’s Instagram, checking out her cool pictures and well, trying out those funky braid hairstyles she has donned lately, when I came across this post. Well, earlier this week we came across Alia’s magazine cover, which by the way, is super cool! Turns out this month, the Elle India magazine is celebrating Alia Bhatt’s sister, Shaheen’s birthday! I am assuming that Shaheen’s gift from her workplace was to interview sister, Alia Bhatt. Honestly, being a younger sister myself, I would be super thrilled if my sister interviewed me and of course, all the fooling around before the interview takes place is a given! But Shaheen really seems to have connected very well to this issue’s article as you could really feel it.
From the excerpt that I came across in Alia’s account, Shaheen brought to everyone’s notice of the first time she met Alia. The memory of how she was curious as she scanned her sister wrapped in a cloth resting on her mother’s arms. She wandered around in the room wondering why she was stared at by her parents. Finally, she came face to face with Alia and how everything changed for her. Well, Shaheen really did touch my heart with this excerpt, not because I’m the older sister but because I’m the younger one. I’m quite sure that my sister would’ve felt the same way, obviously with a new wave of emotions and change of scenario.
I’m totally in awe of how beautifully Shaheen has described sisterhood and yes, it made me all sentimental too, which is a rarity! Can’t wait to read your full article! Tell us what you think of Alia and Shaheen as sisters in the comments section below!
