Baaghi quick movie review

The movie starts off with Shraddha's character being kidnapped by the villain during a shoot. The film producer, on the advice of her father, hires her ex-lover, played by Tiger Shroff, to get her back from Bangkok where the villain is based.

Tiger and Sabbir have teamed up for the second time!
Tiger Shroff made his Bollywood debut with Sabbir Khan’s Heropanti opposite Kriti Sanon. Tiger’s debut film was loved by the masses for the actors killer action moves and his hot bod. Jr Shroff has teamed up with the filmmaker for the second time for Baaghi which also stars Shraddha Kapoor. The expectations from this action thriller a high since the trailer of the film was kickass? So, does the film live up to it? Our critic Sreeju Sudhakaran is watching the film at a theatre right now and has sent us his first impression of the film.

Sreeju says, “Baaghi is romantic actioner, starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor. The film is directed by Sabbir Khan who gave Tiger his debut film in the form of Heropanti. The movie starts off with Shraddha’s character being kidnapped by the villain during a shoot. The film producer, on the advice of her father, hires her ex-lover, played by Tiger Shroff, to get her back from Bangkok where the villain is based. The movie then moves to flashback mode from there on, which shows how Tiger and Shraddha met on their train journey to Kerala, and how it rains every time they meet.

The first half is spent on their romance, with the villain being the third angle, along with Tiger’s Kalaripayattu training portions. Though the romantic portions may seem cheesy to some, its enough to satiate the youngsters who have been thronging the morning show I was in. However the portions where Tiger Shroff is in training are the ones I loved the most. Its here that the film actually comes to life, and Tiger is a treat to watch in these scenes. I mean, he is our answer to Tony Jaa. Even the fight scene before the interval is very impressive, where Tiger gets to show some terrific moves. Shraddha is as beautiful as the picturesque locales of Kerala the film is shot in. Tiger gets an apt antagonist in Sudheer Babu, whose mean physique can give you gym goals. The only concern I have is that the comedy, even with Sunil Grover in it, is stale. Overall it has been an interesting first half thanks to some terrific stunts…”
