Sonakshi Sinha Releases A Funky New Poster For Noor

Sonakshi Sinha has been seen veering away from her usual roles of damsel in distress that initially began her career. Her breakthrough performance in Vikramaditya Motwane’s Lootera, opposite
Ranveer Singh paved the way for more diverse roles and she carried it forward with a strong female character in Akira, a slightly bumbling RAW agent in Force 2 and now in her upcoming film Noor which is directed by Sunhil Sippy, she will be seen in the main role playing the character of an independent journalist.

The tale of Noor is based on a novel written by Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz titled Karachi, Your'e Killing Me! The original novel is actually set in Pakistan but the makers of Noor have taken creative liberties with the script of the film by altering the character to be from India and the setting of the film to be in Mumbai.

The story will be about a strong-willed journalist/ author's journey through the field of media, covering dangerous stories whilst juggling issues of love and problems in her own life. The film will also feature youtube star Kanan Gill, Purab Kohli and Sunny Leone as cameos.

Sonakshi recently took to Twitter to release a poster for the film (seen above), captioning it: "She’s sunshine mixed with a little hurricane. She’s every girl. She’s #Noor #IAmNoor Now arrives, 21st April, 2017."
