The preview for the new rendition of the song "Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava" that the film's creators published made everyone feel nostalgic. Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel can be seen as Tara Singh and Sakeena, respectively, in the teaser. Sunny may also be seen singing "Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava" and gazing admiringly at Ameesha.

Gadar 2's director Anil Sharma addressed the controversy on Twitter. In case he had offended anyone's religious sensitivities, the filmmaker posted a long Twitter apology and explained that the leaked footage is unedited. He said, "I'd want to address the current controversy with leaked video from one of the scenes from our film Gadar 2 that took place in an outdoor Gurudwara courtyard.Before I go any further, let me make it quite clear that my team and I are wholly devoted to protecting the integrity of religious perspectives and that we do so with the utmost respect. I have consistently backed this in the movies I've done in the past, and I'll keep doing it.
