Akira Box Office Collections:

A.R. Murugadoss’ Akira took a slow start on Friday, remained flat on its second day and showed decent growth on Sunday. The film has a holiday advantage today (for Ganesha Chathurti), which should help take the extended weekend collections of the film to around the 20 crore mark. 

Akira has collected Rs 16.65 crore in 3 days, but the next few days will be crucial for the film. It has to cross the 35 crore mark to recover costs and earn upwards of 45 crore to attain hit status.

• Friday – 5.15 crore
• Saturday – 5.30 crore
• Sunday – 6.20 crore
• Total in 2 days – 10.45 crore
