Anushka Sharma has been roped in to play one of the leading ladies in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic to be helmed by RajKumar Hirani.
According to a leading daily, "Anushka has been offered a special appearance by Rajkumar Hirani and, in all probability, she will be doing it because of her rapport with the director". Reportedly, she has been offered the role of Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanyata Dutt. Though no names for the role of Dutt’s first wife Richa Sharma and partner Rhea Pillai have come up yet.
Anushka Sharma, who worked in Hirani’s ‘PK’ share a great working relationship with the director and hence she has been roped in to play the role of Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata Dutt.
If things go as per plan then she would be Ranbir and Anushka’s third film together after ‘Bombay Velvet’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
The biopic was supposed to go on floors from this month but due to some delay, it has been pushed ahead to January. By Jan, Ranbir will wrap up ‘Jagga Jasoos’. He is also schdeuled to start Ayan Mukherjee’s superhero flick with Alia Bhatt.
For now Anushka and Ranbir are looking forward to their next release, Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. It is slated to clash with Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ this Diwali.
