Ranbir Kapoor got slapped hard on the sets of his upcoming film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. The assistant director of the film had cautioned popular television actor Kushal Kapoor, but he slapped the ‘Tamasha’ actor so hard that it made a thunderous noise.
Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan. Ranbir had to shoot for a scene in which he is slapped by Anushka’s on-screen father played by Kushal.
The TV actor is currently seen in the popular series ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ in the role of Karan Patel’s character’s father. Kushal recently confessed to a popular daily about how he slapped Ranbir and what happened soon after that.
“Only the assistant director cautioned me to be careful while slapping Ranbir. I still had to slap him and it made a thunderous noise,” he said recalling the incident. “I play Anushka’s father in the film. In one of the scenes, when Ranbir tries to fix up Anushka and Fawad’s marriage, I lose my temper and throw them out of the house. As Ranbir persists that I agree to the marriage, I slap him,” Kushal added.
Kushal was all praise for Ranbir and director Karan and said, “Ranbir is a wonderful actor; he had no issues when I slapped him. Karan is a great director. Everyone on the sets followed him blindly.”
