Shraddha Kapoor is all set to take on the role of Haseena Parker, underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's sister, in her biopic - Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and starring her own real life brother Siddhanth Kapoor as Dawood Ibrahim in the film, Shraddha cannot help but hope she does justice to the character in the film, “I am excited but I am more nervous as I play from the age of 17 to 43 so that whole character graph is there. The character is going to be difficult. I hope I’m convincing,” Shraddha said on the sidelines of Global Citizen Festival India.
Reportedly, Shraddha met Haseena's family recently at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai, “There were Haseena Parkar’s three children - Alishah, Umeria and Khushiyan and Haseena’s brother Sameer Antulay. Initially Shraddha and the rest of the cast were alarmed but the atmosphere softened soon and the tension dissolved,” states a source in an HT report.
The report goes on to state that Haseena’s family allegedly liked what they saw. “Haseena Parker’s children and brother fell in love with the way the film was being shot. They had come prepared for the eventuality of falling in love with the film. They had gotten along the real Haseena’s personal belongings, her reading glasses, nose ring and her favourite lipstick which they presented to Shraddha,” the source added.
This is the first time Shraddha and Siddhanth will share screen space and the duo believes that their biggest strength is their understanding of each other. “We’re extremely close, more like best friends. Shra’s my person,
