Kangana Ranaut says ‘Rangoon’ failure was targeted at her

After the failure of 'Rangoon' at the box-office, Kangana Ranaut has already set on her path to redemption by already finishing the shoot for Hansal Mehta's 'Simran'. The actress has her plate full with a film based on Rani Lakshmibai's life and another film that she will be directing. The accomplished actress feels dejected at the fate of 'Rangoon'.

In an interview with a leading daily, Kangana admitted that her confidence has taken a beating following the film's crash. She thought that the flick had all the ingredients of a successful film and that is why she was heartbroken. Before 'Rangoon', Kangana thought she could never feel low after a film's poor performance, but this time it was different as the film was heavily relying on her shoulders. She felt that the film's failure was targeted at her maybe because as her star grows bigger, the success and failure of a film becomes her responsibility.

Kangy believed there were many people using this period to direct their anger at her and she could have done without all the unnecessary chatter in this vulnerable phase of her career. Since 'Rangoon' was mounted on a humungous budget and it was publicised around her character, the failure of such a project made her feel like sh*t.
