In a never-been-done-before attempt at fresh and unusual casting, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and Chikni Chameli actress Katrina Kapoor are being approached for the sequel of the 2002 movie Aankhen, according to an article in Mid Day.
While there is no official confirmation on the same and director Anees Bazmi stays tightlipped, there is speculation that Sasha and Kat, who have not shared screen space yet, will come together on the silver screen.
Shahid is currently shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj’s Rangoon and aftyer the debacle of Shaandaar, the actor could do with some experimentation and calculated risks. His other upcoming film is Udta Punjab, which also stars his ex-flame Kareena Kapoor.
Katirna on the other hand last appeared in Phantom, and is currently working on Baar Baar Dekho and Jagga Jassos opposite alleged boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. Post Ranbir’s last release Tamasha, rumours were afloat that there was trouble in paradise for the couple as Kat wasn’t too happy with Ranbir’s pairing his ex Deepika Padukone.
