Alia Bhatt birthday special! Udta Punjab, Raazi, Gully Boy: 5 movies of the actress that we absolutely love

Alia Bhatt, who celebrates her 26th birthday today, brought in the day with Ranbir Kapoor, Ayan Mukherji last night

Alia Bhatt has been a perfect example of beauty with brains. Apart from her cute stance, her film choices have also left everybody quite impressed. From Student Of The Year alongside Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra to her latest film Gully Boy, the actress effortlessly is marching towards superstardom. And looks like she doesn’t stop at just being the best. Apart from showbiz, Alia also ventured into a clothing line and is successfully running it till date. She has been a part of many social awareness campaigns and never refrains to talk about the elephant in the room in the most subtle way. No matter how busy she gets acting, she never fails to inspire her fans. Today (March 15), as the Kalank actress celebrates her 26th birthday, let us take a look at five of her performances that will forever be etched in our hearts.

# Dear Zindagi: This movie had us all in tears, right? Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan’s
Dear Zindagi very beautifully dealt with the topic of depression. The intriguing story about a girl with anxiety and depression and how she overcame it, pulled the right emotional strings.

# Badrinath Ki Dhulania: After giving the massive hit with Humpty Sharma Ki Dhulania, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan reunited for another entertaining film titled Badrinath Ki Dhulania. This time, Alia Bhatt’s character was on a bigger mission. The movie was all about women empowerment and Alia’s character was shining throughout the film.

# Udta Punjab: This has been Alia’s career best performance so far. She played the role of an accidental drug dealer and we also saw how her life changed after getting introduced to drugs. Shahid Kapoor and Alia’s camaraderie was quite interesting to watch. Although the film got into several issues (as it dealt with the issue of drug abuse in Punjab), the movie left us all spellbound.

#Raazi: Alia Bhatt’s character Sehmat touched many souls through the film. This was one of her first movies where the entire plot was around her and she owned the screen space with her performance. The movie was about courage and valour, and Alia did full justice to the role. Her acting was excellent and her chemistry with Vicky Kaushal was a visual delight.

#Gully Boy: Although the movie was about Murad (Ranveer’s character), Alia Bhatt made sure her presence was felt on the big screen. Her character Safina was a never seen before avatar of her and the audience thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyone couldnt stop gushing about Alia in the film and we totally agree to all the praises this girl got.

Another great quality about Alia is that she never hesitates from laughing at her own mistakes. Now, with two amazing stories in her kitty- Brahmastra and Kalank, Alia will only leave us smitten. But you tell us which role of Alia from above has been your favourite? Comment in the section below. CineBlitz Team wishes the talented actress a very happy birthday!
